It's the book she remembers best from her childhood. She said she used to spend hours just gazing at the illustrations instead of learning her Polish. And I can see why - the illustrations by Janusz Grabiański are just so beautiful. I love his rich colors and that you can see his brush work. So here are a couple of Grabiański for you to get lost in too. Aren't they the loveliest?
