Led Zeppelin-a-Day: "Sick Again"
"Sick Again", Physical Graffiti
What a perfect way to close such an incredible album. Absolutely riveting and totally fabulous. Its dance between bluesy lilt and raucous thunder is exciting, as John Bonham really drives the latter. JP's playing is exhilarating -- thoroughly raunchy, and greatly reflective of his musical style. The lyrics notoriously deal with over the top teenage groupies, whom Robert Plant felt "a bit sorry for." I thank those groupies for their lifeless pursuit, as they inspired a magnificent number with a titillating groove. "Sick Again" is the Physical Graffiti's final track, and with a terminating pick scrape, the album closes.
