Beardy Zep and "South Bound Saurez" have nothing to do with each other, so?
"South Bound Saurez", In Through the Out Door
The only Led Zeppelin song, other than "All My Love", that Jimmy Page had no part in writing. Unlike "All My Love", I don't consider "South Bound Saurez" an ultimate fail. Its one of my favorites off In Through the Out Door, but what does that really say? Nothing too astonishing is going on here, but it all revolves around JPJ's funky, honky-tonk piano. It makes you wanna dance, as does Robert Plant's "So good, oh-so-good." You can really tell that its a JPJ/RP penned number, because they dominate the track and keep it lively -- as with the "Sha la la" outro. Not an incredible number, but not absolutely horrid either. Danceable, not too serious, kind of fun in the vein of "D'yer Mak'er" or "The Crunge" but far less brilliant.
